What are the goals of the HESK e. V. association?

The association works for humanitarian aid and sustainable development on the Syrian coast. The main focuses are the provision of food, clothing, and shelter for women, children, and the sick, as well as the promotion of education, health, and agricultural projects.

What rights do club members have?

Members may attend meetings and have a say in club matters. They have voting rights at the annual general meeting, receive regular reports on club activities, and can monitor the activities of the board of directors.

How do I become a member of the club?

You must support the club's goals and submit an application that will be reviewed by the board. Use the application form on this page or contact us directly by email at info@hesk-ev.de. After review, you will receive all further information regarding admission.

What are the membership fees and initiation fees?

The admission fee is 25 € (one-time). The annual membership fee is 100 €. Honorary members, appointed by the board for special services, are exempt from membership fees. Reductions are possible upon request.

What are the obligations of club members?

Members must observe the association's statutes, pay their contributions on time, and respect decisions made by the association's bodies. Furthermore, members are expected to actively support the association's goals and uphold the association's reputation in public.

Can I become an honorary member?

Honorary members are appointed by the board of directors for special services to the club or its goals. Honorary membership is free of dues. Direct application is not possible – appointment is made on the board's initiative.

How do I resign from the club?

The resignation must be submitted in writing with a notice period of three months at the end of the calendar year. An informal email to info@hesk-ev.de is sufficient. Contributions already paid will not be refunded.

Are membership fees tax-deductible?

Yes. Since HESK e. V. is recognized as a non-profit organization, membership fees and donations can be claimed as special expenses on your tax return. You will receive a corresponding donation receipt after payment.
